We provide care for children from infants to 7 years old. Our programs are carefully tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group.
Yes, we are fully licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and adhere to all state and local health and safety regulations, including those specific to 24-hour and overnight care. We are proud to have achieved a 4-Star Quality Rating from the Keystone STARS program. ABC Childcare also participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to ensure nutritious meals and snacks for all children. Additionally, we are an Erie’s Future Fund provider and a Pre-K Counts grantee.
Enrollment begins by completing the necessary compliance and enrollment forms available on our website through Playground.
Yes, especially for our infant and overnight care slots. We recommend contacting us as early as possible to discuss availability and anticipated placement times.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and most holidays. We offer flexible scheduling options such as full-time care, part-time care (5 days per week), third-shift care, and overnight care to fit your family’s needs.
Yes, we offer limited drop-in and backup care services for enrolled families. This service depends on space availability and requires prior approval. Please contact the center with as much notice as possible.
Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible and based on your individual work schedule. For overnight care, children typically arrive in the evening and are picked up in the morning after their designated sleep time. Late fees apply for pick-ups beyond the agreed-upon time.
Safety is our top priority. Our facility features restricted access with secure entry systems 24/7. The building is monitored by security cameras, and staff perform regular safety checks throughout the night. All team members are trained in emergency procedures specific to overnight care.
Our staff-to-child ratios strictly comply with, and often exceed, state requirements to ensure the highest level of supervision and care.
We provide a calm, peaceful, and comfortable sleeping environment. Each child has a designated cot or bed with clean linens (cribs for infants). We follow safe sleep guidelines and work closely with parents to maintain each child’s bedtime routine. Air mattresses are provided for older children as needed.
We follow a strict illness policy. If a child develops a fever or shows symptoms of a contagious illness, parents will be contacted immediately. For the health and safety of all children, your child must be picked up promptly. Children may return after being fever- and symptom-free for 24 hours without medication.
We provide all meals and snacks, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening/early morning snacks, depending on the duration of your child’s stay. All meals are nutritious and prepared on-site, following CACFP standards. We accommodate all documented food allergies. Outside meals are not permitted.
All staff members undergo comprehensive background checks and fingerprinting. They are trained in CPR and First Aid (including infants and children), and many hold degrees or certifications in Early Childhood Education. Staff also receive specialized training in overnight supervision and child safety.
